The article aims to present a short analysis and an inventory of the industrial heritage elements along the Bega Canal in Timişoara. It will focus on the former industrial sites and on the values they still preserve or not. It is a critical insight into a mode of action characteristic to the Romanian space, but not restricted to it – which is rather directed towards eliminating the post-industrial character. The questions that need an answer in the case of such sites are: what do we preserve? What do we replace with?
