The Calvinist Church in Gacsály is one of the most beautiful mediaeval historic buildings of the Upper Tisza Region. Its comprehensive historic building conservation intervention was completed in 2015, after nearly 10 years of preparatory work. The conservation was granted the ICOMOS Award in 2019 by the Hungarian National Committee of ICOMOS. The author of the article was the project manager of the execution works. Due to its limited length, the article is confined to describing the areas specifically highlighted in the award laudation, without going into a detailed description of the conservation.
